About SGC
Sherman Government Consulting & Management Services was founded by Suzanne Sherman, MPA, ICMA-CM, a native Floridian who discovered early on the joy of public service and the satisfaction of making our communities “better than we found them.”
With a career spanning over 22 years in local government, Suzanne is passionate about contributing to organizational success. As an ICMA Credentialed Manager, Suzanne has been blessed with opportunities to serve primarily on the east coast of Central Florida in the cities of Palm Bay, Satellite Beach, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office. From working as an entry-level Accountant in a Finance Department to serving as City Manager for the second largest city in Central Florida, her career journey has equipped her with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with many areas of government operations that need attention.
With a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Florida International University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida, Suzanne is committed to using her talents and abilities to help government agencies achieve success. She has also dedicated many years as an active member of the Florida City and County Management Association, volunteering to serve on Board and committee positions, and also actively participates in the Florida League of Cities, serving on policy committees.
Suzanne is a servant leader and strategic thinker, a collaborative facilitator committed to serving with professionalism, positivity and integrity. She enjoys supporting and encouraging others on the path to embrace meaningful change, and believes that even in the midst of adversity, continued progress toward goal achievement is not just possible, but a necessity.
